On Being
On Being
Being alive is pretty simple
Knowing you are alive is not
Women cry outside
Men cry inside
To know you are alive you should laugh and cry each day
Whether it shows or not
Not for survival but to feel
Feeling is the enzyme, the fuel, the energy
Knowledge feeds life, adds to life, adds to pleasure and to pain
Ignorance does not
Fill your minds as if they’re wallets
With the currency of being
We will breath today
Perhaps tomorrow
That will not make us smarter
Hug each other or your child
I see a smile on its way
