alight: (verb) to descend from the air and settle.

apricity: (noun) the warmth of the sun in winter.

capitulate: (verb) yield.

convolute: (verb) make (an argument, story, etc.) complex and difficult to follow; (adjective: biology) rolled longitudinally upon itself, as a leaf in the bud.

foil: (noun) be a foil to/for somebody/something to emphasize the good qualities of another person or thing, by being very different from them.

furled: (verb) to fold and roll something such as a flag, sail, or umbrella into a tight tube shape.

induvial: (adj) decaying in the stem without falling off.

marcescent: (adjective): withering without falling off; (noun) a plant that has mercesent parts.

resilient: (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.

ruderal: a plant growing in rubble.

like a ruderal flower thoughts persist resilient the ultimate foil for single marcescent leaf that's induvial as ingrained habits distilled as a smur alights on the minds convolute like the leaf my thoughts furled I bask in apricity never to capitulate
