On a Sweet Sunday Morning
on a sweet sunday morning when we both are off from work
we rise from our needed slumber to indulge in a big ole perk
we inhale, we exhale, and we thank God for this here Blessing
we stretch, we yawn, and we free ourselves from the usual stressing
we then immerse ourselves in our rituals and our routines
we smile at the scene of a sunny day and erase from our minds all blue things
now that we are older and wiser, we jump at chances like rabbits
we appreciate the little things in life more and put to rest our big picture habits
anticipation faces make for positive vibes and good times
which, in return, inspires a spotlight list of memories and a few poetic rhymes
