On a String

Communication is the key To open up the door Behind which all emotions wait, To summon or ignore. For when that lock is opened And the feelings freely flow, You might have all the information That you need to know. But when the key is out of reach And you don’t have the facts, It certainly affects the way Your mind or heart reacts. I wish that I could wear this key, Like kids do, on a string, ‘Cause then I’d hold the power Only dialogue can bring.
