On a Night Like Any Other

On a night like any other On a night like any other She asked me how I was I replied Just like any other I lied It was not A night like any other I lay there crying I really did She broke me in two Like a twig I guess she really didn’t care As I lay there in my bed She said For her last time Goodbye On a night like any other She kept on asking me How I was I kept on telling her Over and over again just like any other Then I got curious she had to have cared enough to ask about me maybe she is starting to see She may be starting to grow on me She knows that she holds the key The key to my heart But eventually When she asked me How I was We began to talk All day and all night I would go into a deep sleep And dream of her when I couldn’t see She would lead me and every night I would say It was not a night like any other It was a night that people had dreamed
