On a Humid Night

On a humid night Hot, as the heat wave strikes Emotions that churn restlessly Dark and fervid as the night. Would it have been different Could laughter show its might But laughters are an echo Far off...... In the distant daylight. On a humid night Tossing, the nightmares take flight The clock that ticks endlessly Dreams become a blight. Would I have been indifferent A shrug, an oversight But hurts become an echo And hits..... Like a blistering smite.
