Old Wooden Boat

Down the river I flow In a rocky old wooden boat Followed by a crow or two Looking for crumbs I set afloat Trying to catch a fish or two In a rocky old wooden boat Belly’s growling ain’t eaten In many a day dry is the throat Jugs just about bone dry In a rocky old wooden boat Rest of the world flows by Is anybody there cast me a coat Suns beaten down skins getting dry In a rocky old wooden boat Mirages coming faster buzzards on high No one to save me in this forsaken moat.

Sometimes in life we feel like we are in an old rickety wooden boat but hopefully there will always be someone to toss us a lifeline. Hope your second shot had a better reaction. John

Good to hear from you SO. This is my reaction to my first covid19 vacine. Hallucinations of madness, like rocking in a boat, unquenchable thirst. Lol. Kelli
