Old Sins Have Long Shadows
Old sins have long shadows
Old sins have many a morrow
For beds of tulips and bones burrow
And though they blossom in the spring,
In winter, they are but a shadow
For they veil the eyes that saddles no sorrow
And blind peace and hope like they blind land and wallow
But shadows are long, they penetrate above like below
Onto the worlds of the past and morrow
