Old Sins Have Long Shadows

Old sins have long shadows Old sins have many a morrow For beds of tulips and bones burrow And though they blossom in the spring, In winter, they are but a shadow For they veil the eyes that saddles no sorrow And blind peace and hope like they blind land and wallow But shadows are long, they penetrate above like below Onto the worlds of the past and morrow
