Old Man's Dreams and Sorrows

Old Men’s Dreams and Sorrows Old men’s dreams and sorrows looking back from tomorrow. Wishing he had done, what he had not from selling out, to being bought. Looking back on dreams of youth, shadows past hide the truth. Battles fought on cold Decembers, now are dates, that few remember. Laughter mixed with lingering sighs, beneath the smile, is bittersweet cries. Sun and rain, love and loss, being best came with a cost. All within this mortal time, living fast was your only crime. It caught and passed as you slept, leaving hurts of promises not kept Time suddenly came home to stay, your back is bent, you wished you'd prayed. All your love came with pain, all your anger left its stain. In a flash, it's over and done, tomorrow sleeps, today is gone. Days of dreams, nights of sorrows, ghosts that vanish by tomorrow.
