Old Lovers
Soft silk covers what tale conspires,
Old lovers walk a broken talk;
Once upon sense comes show stopper,
Show and tell then that jaded feel;
Harsh words align a bitter feud,
No need to be so polite now;
Hands choke the neck to strangle ease,
No offence gains a foothold kind;
Twin hostile feeds go well with speed,
Indifference hosts twisted strands;
Till death do us part company,
How best to plunge that fatal kill;
Pray then for peace under the ground,
When lost is found perhaps too late.
