Old Friends
Old shoes and old friends
make us comfortable,
make us laugh,
make us remember silly things that made us act daft.
Looking at photos of us back then,
Remembering the days when we both were thin,
sharing secrets,
sharing dreams
of future hopes and happy schemes.
Now we've lost our youth.
We apply wrinkle cream.
We wear comfortable shoes and dye our gray hair.
But still we are "that crazy pair"!
