Old Friends
And time goes by and lives are led
and distances come between.
But friendships made will never fade
though our faces are rarely seen.
But when happenstance gives us a chance
to gather , like days gone by,
nothing has changed, the love remains
and the conversations fly.
Friendships made at an older age
will last forever more.
Even though it's true we seldom do
walk through each others door.
So lets raise a glass, not the first or last,
to the friends that have gathered here.
Though miles and time mostly keep us apart,
these are the hearts that we hold dear.
