Oklahoma

Winds pick up, Sky turns into an unfriendly grey. Tears well up in the eyes of a child. With every horrific cry another tear is shed Teachers fight and struggle to do their best. But in the end they are left standing in rubble and dust. Parents and community members fight to stay alive. As a funnel cloud rips through and devastates their lives. With many lives loss and many homes destroyed. God on their side they start to rebuild their dreams. Some do not understand why this happened to them. Others understand it is a part of god’s plan. Mother Nature is an amazing force, and this time she is reminding us That life is a delicate flower in the spring and sometimes it rains!
To all affected by the tornadoes you are in our prayers!

This is a terrible occurrence that happened in Oklahoma, I do feel very sad for them and I hope they can heal quickly from their loss, whether it be human loss or property loss! But I feel deep sympathy for those that have lost a loved one in this tragedy! You have written a very empathetic write about this terrible event! It's nice to see you posting again here on the Soup! What a tremendous piece, Great Work!!

I got 'goose-bumps' reading this. Well penned, but so sad. as you say.. mother nature has a way of reminding us how delicate life can be. Here in S/Africa we have had a lot of news coverage, and we too pray for all the pain this Tornado has inflicted.
