I remember my yesterdays of a little girl happy,
In my attic room this life looked so bright;
I guess a happy childhood has no lifetime guarantee,
It was up and down often it was all twilight.
As an adult who survived I can look back with advice,
Don't dwell on things and just let go, don't think twice;
Advice for the little girl that was me to just let go of sadness,
The weeping and the lamenting and the bitterness.
Your destiny had been written in God's book of paradise,
I say to my younger self, just live its all just a roll of the dice;
Some people are meant to have many a hardship,
For you it was sorrow that makes your pen drip.
Oh younger me, your journey has been tangled that is for sure;
I promise you the future will be tranquility and the past a blur.
