Oh Purple Heart

OH Purple Heart Oh Purple Heart Upon my breast. Covering the hole within my chest. Where heart and love and soul did hide. My love of country, my family, my bride. Oh Purple Heart Upon my breast. Like a Royal Guard I did my best. Laying down my sword by the riverside. On the Lords Wings to heaven I ride. Oh Purple Heart Upon my breast. A badge of honor. A badge at rest..... Purple Heart Day ~~ Aug.7th. Established by President George Washington in 1782 By: MAFLongfellow
