Oh Lovely Maiden

Oh, fair and lovely maiden, I doth profess That thou art the sun in my darkened night The very breath that gives life to my chest, And my heart's delight with thy eyes so bright Thou art a rose, with beauty without compare, A precious gem that cleaves to its fine setting Thou art the fairest of the fair, An angelic being, made for my heart's petting My heart doth long to hear thy sweet voice, To touch thy hand, and gaze upon thy face And with thee by my side, I would rejoice And find in thee a haven, a home, a place So, lovely maiden, wilt thou be mine? And walk with me this life's journey divine Together we'll make a life that's sweet and fine And on love's wings, we'll soar like birds to shine.
