I hate that I love you, Because that restrains me, Stops me from loving him The way I loved you For fear of hurt and confusion And my heart being broken Beyond repair I chucked up the deuces Said my last good byes But yet my heart still resides Within the palm of your hand And I love him that's a fact No doubt in my mind Beacuse that connection we have, verifies But the truth is I'll never love him Like I loved you Although you hurt me Time and time again And he treats me better Than you ever will And he loves me more Than you ever can And I tell you this now Before all these witnesses That now you're done controlling me And I'm taking my heart To his loving hands
