Off Duty Mum
Blurred, steamy mirror
Scarlet innocent faces
Clean, soap scented babes.
Fluffy pyjamas
Tales of elves and fairylands
Cuddles from cherubs.
Fight to stay awake
So not one adventure missed
Go play with your dreams.
Peek in, one last time
Gentle snores break the silence
Creep out, tiptoe down.
Hot cocoa, slippers
Claim control of the remote
My job as Mum, done.
