Of Many Names and Wonders Who do you think hung the stars in the sky Who gave the fowls of the air wings to fly Who tells the sun when to shine at dawn Who hangs the moon when the sun is gone With the waters so deep who draws the lines With fruits so sweet who waters the vines Who sculpted each mountain to give it shape Covered with green so beautifully draped Who filled the sky with magnificent blue Mixed with colors of His perfect hue Who created the rivers to flow one way Who grows flowers with His sun ray Who spoke to the dark let there be light As the darkness became ever so bright Who spoke to the dust you will live As breath to man life He give Who whispered to Noah, build an ark To call the world from the dark Who gave rain forty days, forty nights Who shut the door and sealed it tight Who parted the Red Sea at Moses command Who parted the waters to travel dry land Who supplied the water that sprung from the rock Or the manna from heaven to feed His own flock In the fire who was the fourth man walking Who closed the mouths of lions starving Who directed the stone that took the giant down Who commanded the whale, "Spit up Jonah now" Who brought Job through it all When Satan stated, he shall fall Who turned the water into wine Who healed the sick and cured the blind Who raised Lazarus from the dead Who with two fish and five loaves, thousands fed Who walked upon the raging sea Who bled and died for you and me Who defeated death, hell and the grave Who broke the bondage of sin enslaved Who rolled the stone from the borrowed tomb Who was missing from the empty room Who was found on the road to Emmaus Preaching the word to familiar faces Who was the man five hundred watched ascend As He spoke, I will come again He is called Creator of all things His authority above forever rings Sin and sickness flee at his command He is the greatest of all the land He rules from His throne in Heaven above He rules with judgment, mercy and love He is the Alpha and Omega with many names The Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost, He is all the same Written by: Donetta Harless Friday, July 22, 2016
