Ode To You
Babe, soul searching in a maze
led me to know something important
About crossed paths and a sense of direction to take.
There is no direction as inevitable as change,
Change for the better,
We can be on the same page.
The best chapter of my book can begin with your name.
Babe, the joy to please can go as far as seven seas
With the right wind
That’s your voice, and presence
that puts a violent storm at ease.
Violent force envies a tranquil scene
Soon sync’s as the tone when I call you to the ring
Babe, a human being fleeing his skin
To save the dignity of his bones within.
My bones show one hundred percent,
I can’t hide who I am because I know where I’ve been
So when I feel a gust this immense
Spreading my wings on an up drift.
