Odd Couple

An ugly, old fellow reaches high Through his gold and many fine lines He grabs youth and beauty he lacks The cursed blessing twice it blacks The odd couple consummates ambitions’ Love; rather than Love’s ambitions The exchange, rather short Owing to the tragedy of life The young must do the striving; For the old will still be dying.
