Odaat
Im back in the old place,
the one I know so well.
That place I come to
where my other half dwells.
It sweet, comforting
warm and secure,
it's a place where I am unsure.
My head is divided
into two.
One which asks me
“What will you do?”
Indecision and hurry
two pests I cannot bide
I know I am waiting for me to decide.
I have a choice
one good, one not so
so I beseech myself
“What do I ought to do?”
I give myself up to my fate
for I cannot decide
what is good for me.
So the eternal stream of life I will ride,
and hope,
and pray,
that just for today
my God will intervene
make me serene
for one day only!
