Ocean Rental
By Dawne Zacharias
We arrived at the rental,
a small house oceanside
We opened the windows the salt breezes
welcomed each room
dropping our suitcases
we looked at one another with big grins
finally, running and jumping into oceans grasp
The coolness enveloped our bodies
splashing in the waves
we see one another shining
free at last
Away from the pressures of the world
Sweet desire springs forth from the joy we feel
A newness is unconcealed
pressing ourselves closely we find
a new beginning of an open mind.
