Obsession Part 5

Others swore we would be close, peas in a pod, familiar. Instead there is no warmth, not yet. Were you to try we might combine and nibble toast together, and take a walk, your hand in mine, and stammer conversation 'til we knew there was no reason to be blue. I shall sit with pleasant thoughts of you.

Oh, Keith, I'm beginning to recall the way I felt when my husband passed away! No matter what I was doing, I cried wishing he were doing it with me. This is wonderful work. On to the grand finale.

a very nice ending to a well done Elliot tribute. :) I'm never dissapointed when I read your poetry. I love Elliot's "way", the tell-tale rhyme and his way of writing. And yes, I am a believer in interconnectedness, syncronicity, nd that nothing is coincidence. how did you guess? lol now, maybe you could read my 3 that made it to the next round of the PS contest - up top of the home page, click on the link, and they will be by my name. :) Thanks! Kristin

No matter how well suited two people may be, love, true love, is no guarantee. We can choose who we want to be with but not who we love. On to the last! Love Robin

Kind of an F. Scott Fitzgerald sort of aristocrat writing his tarnished woes. I like it. I'll get around to the others soon. Love, daver
