Obituary Poem
I saw you cry yourself to sleep last night,
I watched as you struggled to start your day.
I asked the Lord to make your grief load light,
And give you help along the way.
Forgive me for not staying longer,
But I really had to go.
The Lord called me, I could not linger,
Sorry, but it was time to go home.
Remember what you will of me,
No matter what, just know I cared.
Whether friend or family,
Remember all that we have shared.
Now I’ve made heaven my home,
You knew that’s where I’d be.
I am not at all on my own,
And my soul is at peace.
I know its hard at the beginning
But I also know you’ll make it through.
I hope it helps your heart to know I’ll be waiting,
In paradise for you.
