Obey and Live
Many teens barely reach the age of twenty,
parents only lament when there's a tragedy;
have they taught them to avoid those plagues and woes...
the ones that cut down life abruptly ignoring God's rules?
Obey and live without the thought of agony,
He's there to comfort and listen to your needs;
show your integrity, battle every thought of shameful inequity:
keep a pure heart and fill it with words that reap good seeds!
Some embrace faith and carry out His will,
others break away from it, finding no pleasure in it;
He gave us a day in which we must rejoice and keep it
holy until we give up our breath and hear His call!
Obey and live accordingly to His laws of prosperity,
those who claim to be friends will try to lower your standard of worth;
make you hate all that He is to deprive you of joy:
be wiser than them and avoid all the misery that sin brings forth!
