O Winter
O winter, winter, yes winter, you are so cold.
I tell you what I know and not what I been told.
O winter, winter, in your presence trees shrink,
Oh I’m so cold –I can’t breathe, I can’t think.
O winter, winter, why is but your night so long?
Birds no longer put me to sleep with their melodious song.
Why are you so chilly, why are you so dark?
Your darkness is like the throat of a shark.
O winter, winter, to where have you taken the moon?
Please say to me it will come back soon.
Your coldness makes me ill with flu and fever,
When you’re gone, I just wish you’d be gone forever.
O winter, winter, where have you been hiding in summer;
When mom took me to school to learn language grammar?
You make me scared, winter, as much as you make me sad.
You possess evil; you disgust me, you really make me mad.
You always make it hard for me to wake up in the morning;
And I’ll go shower half asleep, the whole day I’ll be yawning.
