O', Just For Once, To Receive What I Give-

if he were to write me a love poem, would it breathe like the quintessence of begin? would it live as the moon to the sea – as precise as the art of expanse along kismets journey, and all horizons linear? would it wind-wash and rush my untouched expanse, as a field soft and wild, exhaling through hair? would you hear all of my hurt as it crashes to floors; crashing through my glass floors, formed by years of perfected neglect; (reverberating through centuries of cause and effect) or would it die in my hands; turn to dust at your feet? no. to read his undying words, such as my deepest imaginings can conjure, would be as if the very sun had come to rest beneath my bosom, shining exponentially forth every wish and dream i have ever harbored within the safe haven of my yearnings, since long before the birth of time itself! o’, words given from the depths of my hearts deliberate daydreams, from the vastness of your perpetual being, would surely render my mind useless, striking my fluttering body numb, and alive all at once! if my love ever wrote me a love poem, i would answer by way of warm lips on eyelids, (weary from longing and unrequited need) gliding them down his fair face, kissing years of spent tears into the oblivion that is no more (the culmination of death and the sweet realization of answered prayers), and yet i would no sooner ask him to write me a love poem, then I would expose my longing to receive one.

Yes. All the secret longings come out in a poem - Introspection they call it. But the presenting must, I would imagine, come long after the fact. Wonderful to read your stuff again Kristin. LOve, daver

Kristin Beautifully written with a deep understanding of the full range of emotions we feel when we don't get the understanding we need when we need it the most. You're one of the deepest thinkers I know, well, aside from me ha! Good luck in contest hun, a truly awesome write. I read it a couple of times. Love Light Truth Patricia

First of all you are RSVP-ing to my very favorite poet. Many males are so non-verbal and so don't get it, it is ridiculous, so you are not alone. My husband, once a year, Christmas or my b-day, will make a card for me, but way more important than that, he will write something. I wouldn't dare call it a poem to him, but it is.The feeling you wrote here saying you would get if your hubby did, it is the feeling I get. I could never express it, you did, and I hope sweet friend, you get to live it.

Kristin I did not mean to upset you. Myself I seldom leave a poem alone year after year. I often find ways in which it's unclear or could be clearer in putting forth the message I intented. However, it matters not to me what message is recieved or what rings true to the reader only that they are supported or encouraged or feel less alone from the reading. There are so many variables in a poem, many of which have nothing to do with the words; the groupings, the meter, the spacing.

. Oh my gosh...when you wrote, and said you almost picked the same Robert Frost (A Time to Talk)...after my lame attempt to even enter this competition...I had to laugh at how the comparison to your magic touch would have been...(I would be soooo afraid to know!! I would have gone into hiding, and been afraid to post a poem for awhile!! LOL How funny ! would that have been? I'm in awe of your talent...I KNOW my limitations...but feel good just knowing we have similar tastes!! :)Love Ya Carrie!!

Ooh, this sounds like a challenge~like I've been handed a college term paper to write-you know I used to really love those-I would always be very precise about them-hey, I was a 3.7 gpa-and, actually, I think I am do for some kind of a love poem!? And I shall write 'the best' love poem, the world has 'ever' seen-well, at least since the twentieth century-Yes, (((I CAN Do THIS)))~Smile~So, I better get some coffee-its gonna be a long day!"My Love To You All, Always Dear Kristin, John!"~{LOVE}

To our beloved Kristin, The sonnet of poetry soup’s heart. The warmness of summer days, And the beauty life embarks. For once this one’s for you, My feather quill’s rely. To express these lovely words, Written to page, to never die. For this is just a poem, From the silliness of me. For you to receive what you give, Thus, the words of poetry. A quick little poem for you, Thanks for you comments. I'll repost this poem tomorrow...Raul
