Not another hour or another time
The love withal holds me but just for now
A word so sweet the heart so yearns
The wounds so dry be washed by tears
O for only the love of love!
The lonely miles I tread all alone were
Of a withered love and parched heart
O for only the love of love!
The nights are gloomy and darkness surmounts
The curse of pride holds all beside
O for only the love of love!
The string of ties dies within me
Scattered pearls I fail to find
O for only the love of love!
A dream I remember when I was young
Hands held tight for a cup full of love
O for only the love of love!
Promises of love I hold you true
Sonorous hours before the breath is dry
O for only the love of love!
