Nyack

Under a blanket of rain, We stood. Smiling from the cold, Laughing when we could. The breeze brought a new set of shivers, Yet we still stood. Afraid to move, Even if we could. Droplets got caught in our hair, Yet you still never never cared. The night was ours, And ours to share. When you leaned in, My heart raced. Your arms pulled me closer. Your lips felt like lace. My thoughts had blurred, As you held me close. At home at last, Nothing to hold on to, Not even my past.
