Numb
There is a feeling worse than anger,
Worse than grief, and even worse than pain.
Feeling numb.
You should feel something. Anything.
But you can’t.
You should be angry, after what they did to you.
But you feel nothing.
You should be grieving, after the terrible things that happened.
But you feel nothing.
You should be in pain; your body broken.
But you feel nothing.
How can you feel nothing, after all you lost?
But you can’t feel, and there’s no changing it.
