Nothing Like Summertime
Long hot days spilling into nights
Scented wild blooms wondrous delights
Sandy beaches some go to swim
Plenty of sunscreen, no hat, stay in
Birds happily chirp and butterflies fly high
Dusk brings the sunset and a glorious sky
An icy cold drink in a tall glass
BBQ's and parties with lots of laughs
Big yellow sun that shines so bright
Bringing people together to reunite
Fun with friends is simply divine
There's nothing like the summertime
