Nothing Less

My seducer comes for me With enticing swirls And tickles, strokes, and pulls at me Around my leaves it twirls A palm tree I am With arms afloat I relish in its surge I don’t resist, I welcome it This rich and ample splurge This gust of life, this sudden gale Will take its toll, I know But still the pleasure and the feel I dare not to forgo When life’s intoxicating phase Numbs anguish and distress Then leave me be, and let it do Much harm and nothing less.
