Nothing Could Have Stopped Him
he had no idea it was going to be his last ride
his horse acted finicky, but he thought it was the weather
his wife had a feeling, as she watched him go
there was nothing she could have said to stop him
his brother’s homestead was in trouble
he walked off into the early dawn, unaware
