Nothing But a Childhood Dream

You ask me if I love you, I say I love you More than words can say and I will until my Dying day but I lie, it’s just a lie but I Don’t want to see you cry so I lie just waiting For something better to come along and the Day I can tell you goodbye... I don't want to live without someone in my life But at the same time if you can't keep me happy Then just let me be free, I guess you can say I Want my cake and eat it too maybe that's cruel And someday I'll pay for deceiving you but my mama Told me not to burn your bridges until you’re sure You have found that one special someone, the one You have looked your whole life for but I'm not Getting any younger and so that makes me wonder Will I ever, the older I get I'm really starting to see People for what they are and it breaks my heart But I can't judge anyone 'cuz a saint I ain't and Sometimes just rotten to the core still I wonder now Does anyone really love anybody anymore or is it Just a fairy tale we've been conditioned to believe in JUST, JUST A CHILDHOOD DREAM... I can't speak for you but to me love is just another Name for lust and then once you've had enough, it’s Time to find a new plaything and the game begins all Over again... Ok well what the hell on with the games, you’re just An end to a means and a CHILDHOOD DREAM... NOTHING BUT A CHILDHOOD DREAM!
