I caught a glimpse of your spirit, please don't ask me why, You turned your head immediately when I saw into your eyes, The fear I saw was unspeakable, the pain I saw was deep, To you it was irreversible, it brought me to my knees, The comfort in this fear tricks your heart inside, There is no trust beyond these walls, the memories won't subside, You placed your whole heart and life into what you believed was for you, You asked God for a miracle, but instead He showed you the truth, Love became overrated, feelings no longer could feel, But that is not what God intended for you when the truth to you was revealed, He knew that you would feel this, but He loved you more to let you see, And He saw the passionate heart that wouldn't give up, that would forgive, and yet still believed, He saw the strength that waited, and for a moment I sat and cried, Because in that moment I saw myself, and the love I hold inside, I have watched deaths door knocking, and His love made me stay, I was never one to give up on love or ever walk away,
