Not What It's Thought To Be

What do our thoughts think? This (?) can be deeper then any depth imaginable Only if tangible, but do thoughts have thoughts? I mean it's manageable to be felt but not by feeling Only to be felt with your heart and not your physicality Try touching that with the thought about thinking If you can think it then no way you can't see it But what do your thoughts think about this? This question brought can seem so stupid and vague Senseless ought to be what is defined But what defines our senses is something much more Devine If you are close minded be sure to not open your mouth Might not make any sense, but on a second thought This can give a meaning to what is sought... from your mind Every second of every day A mind is racing with what to say and be said Whether in a dream or to get into another persons head Our darkest confession can be formed from a session of lyrical depression Find a profession to start addressing the lesson of teaching to think a thought Maybe all that has just been said.. is pointless But the none the less the point was the capture your eyes Locked on to these words like an examination My only goal was to open at least one mind to think For a minute I was a thief and stole your attention And if you thought about your thoughts or simply about thinking Then you got my message Maybe not in plain form but it is plain to see that we all think our thoughts-- are thinking to be seen.

Hi Eddie, I would like to extend my hand in welcome to the PoetrySoup community. I love the introspection the poem brings out - the point on what defines our senses is on point. Thoughts beget actions. Very well written! There’s a lot to learn from each other here and hopefully you will have a great time while at it. Feel free to drop me a line when you can. I am looking forward to reading more from you. Vicky.
