Not Posting For a While

Due to health of Dad, I will not be posting new poems for a while. Things are going downhill fast.... I will still read other poets when time permits. Quality time spent with him is more important at this time. I do appreciate all of you for your support on my scribbles and for the warm welcome that has been given me. If you pray, I will ask for prayers for all involved. Thank you ahead of time.

6/7 update: Dad eats little and drinks less and less. Sleeps mostly at this point. Some meds had to be removed...we are on a day to day journey now, waiting for God and Daddy to agree on his "time".....

Update: My daddy is doing about the same but getting weaker as the days and weeks go by. I did loose my father-in-law (Dad) on March 28th after a breif battle with cancer and alzheimers. No time to really morn his passing with Daddy in the shape he is in.....much prayer and writing out memories has helped though. Thanks again for all the prayers.

Sorry about your dad and my prayers are with you. I just had news this morning that my father in law is not good. He has had alzeimers for quite a few years. Anyway they asked my husband this morning which funeral home he wanted to use so I gather things are not good. Also lost 2 more people this week a cousin who was like an aunt and a family friend. love phyl

UPDATE: Dad is holding his own right now. Hospice has really helped with keeping him comfortable. Good and bad days and nights. Balancing act to keep excess fluid from building up around lungs and heart and not dehydrate him. With dementia, it's hard for him to understand what he needs to do...he can no longer reason things out. Just lots of love and hugss...and major patience. Thanks for all the prayers and concerns...God Bless

Since you won't be writing now. I'll say a word with solemn vow. While your away we all will pray. To send you love to find your way. In your time of need we'll plant the seed, of kindness in the garden. And when it blooms and sadness looms. You'll know your sins, he'll pardon. So with that ache there in your heart. Know that we all can feel it. And that we all will do our part. With sincere love within our hearts. And with a kiss, we'll seal it.
