Not Enough and Too Much
I could be anything,
a world renowned chef.
Compose the next symphony
for an audience who is deaf.
At the end of the tunnel
I could shine my light,
but to the eyes of some,
I would be too bright.
I could be someone's rainbow
after a stormy attack.
But the colors they see
are only grey and black.
I'm that yellow traffic sign
that cautions what's ahead.
Drivers who ignored me
guilty they plead.
I'm soft at first sight
but rough to the touch,
and all at once
I'm not enough and too much.
