Not a Love Song
If I could write you a love song
I’d sing to you all that I feel
I’d pour out my heart in the lyrics
So you know what I’m feeling is real
I’d tell you I think about you every morning
I always wish you were right there
I’d tell you I replay moments in my mind
All the memories that we’ve shared
I’d tell you when I come home from work
I wish I was coming home to you
I’d tell you when I’m falling asleep
I wish you could be there too
But I have to tell you I’m sorry
Because this is the best I can do
I may be a woman without a song
But I can offer all my love to you
If I could write you a love song
I’d start with the day that we met
Because no matter how the song ends
It’s the beginning I’ll never forget
