Nobody Cared

They're leveling cities with bombs For we are the righteous they said, Tell that to a family in mourning As they weep as they bury their dead. On TV we see people starving We sit, with plenty to spare We don't look, we just change the channel Is there anyone out there who cares. Our oceans are choking with plastic There's pollution poisoning the air, It goes on, ad infinitum Is there anyone out there who cares. One day the earth will be barren A rock, all lifeless and bare, There was a time when we could have saved it, But there was nobody out there who cared.

Hello, sweetie. A very apt sentiment expressed succinctly here. We need your poem on the files of Presidents and Prime Ministers not committed to carbon reduction figures...
