No Time

He knelt to pray, but not for long He had so much to do To work all day, he had to go For bills would soon be due To busy all day, he had no time To help the child who'd fallen No time to return the messages Of friends who had been callin' At home the children wait all day For their daddy to play ball No time, no time, there's work to do For leaves are soon to fall Now church is over, its time to go No need to stick around No time for all this foolish talk I need to till the ground No time for God, no time for friends No time to dare and do Don't give the ones you love so much The one thing this man knew - no time

Nice poem. It certainly is not a good practice to leave no time for others, especially family. The first verse of this poem is excellent: the words all flow beautifully and it follows the commonly used 8.6.8.6. meter. While the other verses follow the meter for the most part, the flow is not quite consistent with the first. Don't get me wrong, it is a good poem, but a little editing would make it flow much better and the finished result would be much prettier poetically.
