Jueju-Qijue
Jueju poems are always quatrains; or, more specifically, a matched pair of couplets, with each line consisting of five or seven syllables. The five-syllable form is called wujue; and the seven-syllable form qijue.

Warmed by the silicon chip, glacial ice melts drip by drip, And as waters worldwide rise, floods will come as no surprise. Tinder forests are burning and famine is returning And those uprooted by drought, will find there is no way out. Mega storms will terrorize with winds, and all that implies. And as disease and death spread, you'll be either sick or dead. Global warming is no myth, we must all prepare forthwith. For our future is at stake, there's no time to bellyache. Wars will breed border disputes as folks wander without roots. And when plastics kill the fish, hope will morph into a wish. (Jueju-Qijue) 02/26/2020
