No Return Strategy

It was a boomerang love affair of "once upon a midnight dreary" preponderances mid ecstasy & woe obliterating affection's sensibilities, strategic mid tomorrow's yesterdays [nectar'd apricot marmalade honey neath sizzling hot habanero spices] doused with tears betwixt fiery tumult and indescribable embraced moments clutching onto daunting fairy tales of happily afters & no return adaptations ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ of lioness queen's jungle and overbearing laughing hyenas Poe - 'one upon a midnight dreary'

Ultra-cool poem, Paloma. I really loved the flow, the meter and the imagery paired together. A winning combo for sure. Another great poem, Lady poetess. Keep the love and knowledge flowing. Keep loving and living, sharing and giving. Ty for this treat of a sweet poem. May you live long and prosper. Much love to you.

I give sixes where others give sevens, holding back the top rating for something really exceptional. I almost used one of those rare gifts here because this quite exceptional. I very much enjoyed the word play which hints at a barely restrained sense of humour. I look forward to reading more of your works.

That boomerang effect is felt throughout the poem, Paloma. It goes from ecstasy to woe..tomorrow's yesterdays..happiness and tears...// Impressive ending lines. I can still taste your apricot marmalade honey:) Goodnight...it's 12.55am here... paul

You're back! Sweet of you to say Chris, I think it's the excess make-up, scares people off, but it's Audrey freaking Hepburn. :)

"Happily afters and no return adaptations" Don't I know how this feels. Your poem is mesmerizing, if words came in colors, this would be the exit side of a prism. Wow, this was amazing.
