No Peanut Butter For Me
There is danger both grave and stark.
Things are not only rotten in Denmark.
It started in a peanut warehouse in Georgia.
There has been an outbreak of Salmonella.
People are afraid to eat peanuts these days.
The warning has many consumers in a craze.
There is really not that much to beware.
The tainted peanuts did not make it everywhere.
Nevertheless, many have these words to utter:
“Spread jelly on my bread without peanut butter.”
This is not based on a recent news story. This poem was written several years ago.
