No Passing Shower

Dry land Wilting under intense heat It had ever been like that On this land Till the smiling cloud arrived On an errand Smiling? Didn’t look like bringing rain. Expecting the shower A little insane But then looks can be deceptive? Just like the land Firm from afar Come near And the cracks give. The cloud Floats atop the land Ponders awhile Then breaks open Drenching a portion, Not a mile The land Beams back Out of politeness Not permanent But still Temporary relief Nevertheless But lo! The cloud Resists the worldly winds Stationed right up The parched land Continues to shower its love It’s here to stay Two lives Destined to change Has destiny willed it this way? Well, maybe too early Can’t say But one thing certain This, no passing shower It’s that so pure, selfless love For the lover
