No One Walked Away

Looking, looking, for the stairs Air is bad can't breathe in here Fire, fire spreading everywhere Help is coming, did you hear Some going down, some coming up Some will make it,some out of luck Hurry, hurry, lets get them out You can hear the hero's shout Which way to go is their plight Their radios not working right Then an awful sound is heard Now dead silence not a word The beeping sounds of their alarm That eerie sound still lingers on Lives forever changed that day And no one really walked away A burning memory in their mind Of all the friends left behind Hush my children, dry your tears When they died they had no fears The cowards found no paradise The wrath of God is concise They are at peace and at rest God only takes the very best carolann crowley dedicated to all who lost their lives on 9/11 9/22/2006
