No New Years Day
Life is a long journey
Of triumphs and despair
There exists long roads of broken hearts
The ditches filled with tears
War torn voyages, falling leaves
There is not a bird in site
All living things have moved away
The sad torments within
The barren landscape surrounding me
Year after year
Here I sit
Staring into the past, with a sad smile
I hold an empty champagne glass in my hand
A new year soon to be
The stars shine bright in the coldness of night time skies
The champagne pops, explosions ring
I fade within myself
Wishing
No New years Day
