No Man's Land
Is there yet any land
left untouched by man
Like there was in the long agos
upon the isles of the Galapagos
Where varied specis lived and thrived
where adaptation was alive
Is there still some small space
where man has left no trace
Perhaps in the jungles of Brazil
out upon some ancient hill
I have a notion that in the oceans
lie the only lands unconquered by man
For not even space it seems
is safe from man's reach or dreams
We've ventured far beyond the Earth
to explore and decide its worth
Yet in the end, it doesn't matter much
we're all just little bits of cosmic dust
