No Longer Alone - Conclusion 5 Minute Poem

She just upped and walked away Taking his precious son Now he searches day and night Wants to bring him home Was given a tip yesterday On his way to check it out Down  to Cornwall to Newquay Tense as a coiled spring wanting to shout Then he saw  her Was at the school gate Owen's Mam was waiting In a disheveled state He came slowly out As though he was afraid Then he saw his Tad The sun went into shade Such was the smile on Owen's face Father and son wept as one Looked around was no trace Owen's mam had gone. Ouch, this one hurts down deep inside. When we were kids my mom and us three kids tried to escape my dad. He found us 2 weeks later and went too our school to pick us up. Unlike this kid we were not so happy to see him. Really well written story Seren.

The sad poetic story is probably too common these days. Parents using their children as pawns againsr the other. A sad stae of affairs. Your poem provides the right amount of shock value for this topic.
